We are so excited about Christmas this year and I went all out on decorating. Chance claims the tree is too full and I think it needs MORE :) Ella is so excited about Santa and says she wants a Pink Crawling Baby and Purple Peek-A-Boo baby from him. I am sure he will bring that plus MUCH MUCH more. Every year it gets more and more exciting with her during Christmas. She actually took a picture with Santa today at the mall. Of course I had to be in it though, haha. I got a little bit of a smile though. Least there was no screaming :) We leave next week to go home and we can't wait! I am ready for some much needed relaxing! Also, we find out the sex of the baby on Monday at 6pm! I am super nervous but will let you know as SOON as I get the news!!!

There are tons more presents on the other side. Yes, they are all Ella's. She is going to be mad next year when she doesn't get as much, haha!

Baby #2

Sooo ask most of you already know... we are expecting baby number due! He or she will be here around May 19th (5 days before my birthday :) We are super excited and can't wait to find out the sex...hopefully it will be before Christmas. If not, it will be after the new year. From what she understands, Ella is SUPER excited. She can't wait to have a little baby around the house.

I am finally out of my first trimester and I am feeling better. I am WAY less tired and not as nauseated so I am very thrilled. Now that I think back, it definitely wasn't as bad with this one as it was with Ella.

I will try to keep everyone updated as much as I can. Now that I am not sleeping every hour, maybe I will be more on top of things :)For now, here are some pictures I took of Ella in her "big sister" shirt!

Halloween

We went back to Wichita Falls for Ella to trick-or-treat with all the kids in the family... Chance couldn't come with us, so it was just Me and Ella. Ella had a BLAST Saturday! I have never taken her before because it seemed like she was always too young, but this year I knew she was ready! She is really REALLY shy so I thought she would HATE going up to stranger's houses, but surprisingly enough she was more than willing to run up to their houses if it involved getting candy out of it! She ate it as soon as she got it... yes, I know I am not the best Mom... I did semi-check it before I opened it for her. I tossed out the candy that had a couple "Easter Eggs" on it... I guess someone had some candy left over, haha! Anyways, here are a couple of pictures of my little Ella! My Mom took more, but I forgot to get my Mom's disk before I left today! Once I get it, I may post most :)

I Love Dora!

Some people may not believe in their kids watching TV, but I 100% do! Ella has learned sooo much from Dora the Explorer! She knows more Spanish than I do. Yesterday we were at Target and there was a toy she wanted. She asked me if we could get it and I told her no. She asked me again and said "plllleeeeaaaasseee". I started to ignore her because she kept saying please. After a couple times she said "Mommy por favor". Haha she's said it before, but when she said it so unexpectedly, I have never laughed so hard in my laugh! So of course I bought it for her :) It's the random stuff that she does that I love oh so much! She called me "mother" yesterday, and I was kind of shocked. haha where did she come up with that?! I don't ever say Mother! I was kind of sad so I said, "No, Ella, it's Mommy"... haha she isn't allowed to grow up yet!!

Missing My Baby

Well, Ella is gone till Thursday! She's in WF with both sets of grandparents and I am sure she is LOVING it. I have tons to do this week, but hopefully I can catch up on some blogging too! I have lots of fun stuff to talk about, but usually I am too busy (lazy) to type it all out :)

Chance is busy brewing beer right now (and has been for the last like 3 weeks). He is definitely on a "beer" bend right now! He's all about tasting new beers and obviously, making his own. I am too scared to try it, haha. The house smells ridiculous right now and he thinks it smells delicious. I am going for the smell of coffee/chocolate with a hint of B.O., but shhhh I didn't say that! He only has 2 more weeks left of psychiatry and he is very thankful. I definitely think this will be the worst rotation he has to do, no offence to any psychiatrists out there. Just not for him. Next up internal medicine! Wish us luck! I heard he has to work like 6 days a week :(

Off to bed... I should be taking advantage of being able to go to bed early :)

Corn Maze

Friday we went to the Corn Maze here in Lubbock and Ella had a BLAST! We didn't actually go through the big maze because it would have taken over an hour and it was getting pretty dark and we forgot our flash lights! Ella had tons of fun though because she got to see gross animals, ride a cow train, play with (re-arrange) pumpkins, and go through a baby hay maze! I am so glad we got to go this year! Definitely a must here in Lubbock! Just FYI these pictures are not the greatest! Taken with a tiny camera...blurry and dark, BLAH, but still had to post :)

Ella LOVES her babies! She loved to feed them, rock them to sleep, change them, make them do front flips and hand stands, bath them, walk them, and everything else you can think of. This one's name is Bella and boy does Ella LOVE Bella. We took her for a walk the other day and of course, had to stop at the park. I couldn't not go...it was WAY too nice outside. WARNING: A LOT OF PICTURES TO FOLLOW!

This little foreign boy took Bella from E, but she didn't freak out like I thought she would! Haha he held Bella for like 10 minutes. Finally, we asked for her back and he gave in ;)

Today I made Ella some eggs for breakfast. While she ate and watched her cartoons, I went and got dressed to go work out. Eventually, she came in the room with no pants on and had taken her diaper off (from the night). We walked into the other bathroom to find all her clothes in there and toilet paper everywhere. She claims she went potty and wiped all by herself. I actually believe her. Then I asked her if she ate all her eggs and her response was "no, Winne-a-pooh and Sponge Bob will eat them". Immediately I picture her 2 over stuffed and impossible to wash friends covered from head to toe in eggs. We took a trip into the living room to find that this wasn't the case at all. Sweet little Ella got them each their own tea cup and filled them to the top with eggs, so that they could have their breakfast too :) People always says 2 is so hard, and yes, it is VERY hard but it's SOOO much fun! She has the best/sweetest personality and I love spending everyday with her!

Pooh had more but one of the dogs ate it.

Ignore all the shoes. She likes to get them out and wear them around the house for some reason. She has started this new thing wear she HAS to be the one to dress her self and wants to pick everything out herself. Like wear pajama pants under dresses. Chance tried to make me let her wear this to dinner,Ha-ha didn't work.

Big Girl

Ella had "big girl" gymnastics today and LOVED it! I was actually RATHER shocked! We talked up big girl gymnastics several days in advance so that she wouldn't be upset going in there by herself (we used to go to a parent & tot class that I had to go in and do with her). She walked right in with the teacher and did very well at minding and doing what she was asked! She spotted me (behind the glass) at one point and just waved :) When they were warming up, Ella just sat there and starred at all kids, haha! She usually will do all the warm up exercises, but I think she was just confused as to what was going on! I don't think she particularly likes being about a bunch of wild kids (if we go to parks or places with lots of kids, she just clings to me:). I am glad we go in the morning because there are only a handful of kids and at night there are like 50 in there at once! Anyways, she didn't cry a single time until Miss Sarah made her do her second front flip. Haha I do not know why, but she does NOT like to do front flips! She turned and looked at me and started crying with her hands over her face! It was so sad :( Immediately after she started crying, another girl started like beating up this other little kid, so that caught Ella's attention and she completely forgot about the front flip! Thank goodness! After that, they went and jumped in the foam pit and then she practiced back flips and never cried a single tear! When we left, I asked her why she cried and she said "I cried like Daddy, whaa whaa"... haha we have a running joke in the house that Mommy goes "no no no" and Daddy goes "whaa whaa whaa". She definitely made me laugh out loud! She told Chance when he got home that she did NOT like front flips! Hopefully I can get more pictures of her next week! This was on my phone while they were stretching...the glare didn't help me any!

Cupcakes!

My Mom and nephews are coming down for the weekend, so Ella and I made yummy cup cakes for them! I think Ella licked each one before I put the iceing on them and then stuck her finger in the iceing on each one :) While she was putting sprinkles on like 10 of them, I turned my back to walk out of the room and heard her sneeze! haha I just kept walking... there is no telling where the sneeze went, but I am assuming straight onto the cupcakes!! But shhhh, we won't tell anyone about that! I ate one. It didn't taste bad so as long as no one knows it will be OK!

I can't get her to stop making this face when she smiles! She did it one day and we laughed for HOURS and now this is her "smile". I haven't seen a normal smile in a few weeks! It definitely makes me laugh and brightens my day so it's worth it! It keeps getting meaner though...like it's turning into a growl. I guess she is tired of pictures :)

Update!

So I just wanted to update everyone! First of all, today is our 2nd anniversary! It seems like wayyyyy longer since we have been together so long! Chance is taking both Ella and me to dinner tonight. We had a couple fancy dinners alone here lately sooo we decided to treat her too :)

In other news, Chance got his Step scores back the other week! Finally all the pain and agony is OVER! He did extremely well and we are all SO proud of him. Based on his score, he should be able to whatever he wants to do, but there are other things that factor into it besides that score, so we will see! He has 5 1/2 weeks left in OB-GYN then he'll move to psychiatry... I don't think he's too excited! It should be pretty easy , so he will get some time off to break and enjoy football season...my least favorite season :)

Ella is great as always! IN August she gets to move up to the "big girl" gymnastics class! Which actually means she will be doing gymnastics instead of a "Parent & Tot" class. I am eager to see how this will go... She was mad at me today because I wouldn't take her swimming ( it was lightning and raining ). She got mad at me again when I told her it was nap time. Out of spite, she grabbed all my folded clothes and threw them around the house and then proceeded to go in her room and pull all the toys out of her toy box and sit inside it and pout. I guess this is what they mean by "terrible two's". I should have never stay up that extra hour before nap time. Word of advice to Mom's...it doesn't help anyone if you let me stay up longer than usually :)

Oh, and I changed the name of the blog because Chance said it was a jinx to use the title from "Jon and Kate, Plus 8".

"Vacation"

I say "vacation" because it was really two weeks off the hang out with family and see our friends. We would have planned something big, but didn't know what it was going to be like schedule wise...I still had a lot of fun relaxing and getting away from the everyday routine! I originally said I was going to post this on my other blog but it was WAY too lengthy!

We have been home for a week now and I still feel like I am unpacking! Haha I guess I am just slow or something... I have had tons of other stuff going on so I did all that first, but I think I finally am finished. Now I am trying to clean my house. With the air being off for 2 weeks, it was like bugs and DIRT just crawled right in and make this house a home! Not to worry...they are gone now :)

Anyways, I really wanted to do a vacation post because I wanted to brag a bit about the place we stayed at in Horseshoe Bay for Chance's best friend's wedding.
It was a BEAUTIFUL wedding at the Marriott at Horseshoe Bay Resort. It was VERY VERY hot there, but the resort was really nice. It's on a lake, so it gives you the feeling of being at the beach :) It wasn't like the greatest place ever and, yes, I would rather be at the beach, but the service there was BEYOND what was expected. I felt like I was on vacation! If you ever need a quick get away, this was definitely a place to go. The guys all golfed and said that the course was awesome too! Chance's parents hung out at the spa and I hung out by the pool all day! I got a little too much sun...forgot the sunscreen. I did not take one picture while I was there...it seemed like I was constantly in a rush to do something or get dressed and I never has a second to take any, but trust me...it was nice!

After the wedding we drove to Houston to visit another one of Chance's friends. Chance and I love visiting Houston and definitely wouldn't be opposed to living there if we have to. It seems like we always eat at the BEST restaurants and the service is always wonderful too! If you are ever in Houston, you MUST go to Taste of Texas! It's probably the best steak place I have ever been to! It's definitely one of the top priciest as well, but man it's SO worth it! We crave it! We also ate at Chuy's ...it's a Mexican food restaurant that is also in Dallas. I have never heard of it, but it's good! Lubbock definitely needs one! We ate at so many good places, but those are the only names I can remember off the top of my head!

Anyways, one of the days we were there we went to Galveston for a few hours. I haven't been there since I was a kid, so I don't remember what it really looked like before. Chance said it was always kind of a dirty city, but I am assuming the main reason it looked so run down is because of Ike. It was so weird. It was like all the trees were there, but they were definitely dead. Most of the stores and restaurants looked open a long the sea wall, but there were still some random places that look like they were damaged and just never re-opened. The Flagship Hotel that was over the water has literally had nothing done to it since! I think there is more to it's story with legal matter and it being sold and stuff, but it was creepy because part of the wall is ripped off and you can see furniture in it and the sidewalk to it was partially gone.

On the pier side, it seemed like a ghost town! The medical school was over there (which by the way Chance wanted to go to) and so were other businesses but they were completely abandoned. They didn't look damaged, just no one was over there. I think Chance said they moved the medical school to another building. There were also a bunch of smaller home over in the area and they were definitely abandoned! Doors were open and you could see it and stuff. So sad! I didn't get photos because the boys wouldn't stop and they were driving too fast, grrr! I was surprised to see that my favorite sea food restaurant EVER was up and running! Fisherman's Wharf is like one of the few things I remember about Galveston ( that and riding around on those cool car/bikes...which Chance wouldn't let me rent :( ). I think it's a chain so I am sure they fixed it immediately! I took a couple picture while we were eating... I love eating over the water!

The truck is about a foot and a half to 2 feet lower than the sidewalk! CRAZY!

A couple days before we left my family and Chance's family rented a boat and took the wave runners to Possum Kingdom. We had tons of fun and I have pictures to show for it, but for some reason I cannot find them! I am going to keep looking for them and post them as soon as I find them!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! Our 2 year anniversary is in ONE week! Time flies! Does anyone have any fun suggestions for a "cotton" anniversary gift? I am not going to lie... I JUST NOW remembered anniversaries involved gifts! You would think I wouldn't forget that, but I definitely did! Cotton is a hard one! Any ideas would be GREAT :)

WOW Life Has Changed!

This week has definitely been a change our the Witt house here in Lubbock! We finally made it home after two weeks of vacation! We went to the Zoo, Houston, Galveston, a wedding in Horseshoe Bay, Wichita Falls, and PK! We only had two weeks to get as many activities in as we could and I think we accomplished that! I was EXHAUSTED when we got back! I am posting more details on our trip on my other blog if you want to check it out (it's not up yet though).

Chance started 3rd year on Monday. His first rotation is OB-GYN and by Tuesday, they already had them doing "hands on" activities! Last night he was on call from 5pm to 8am and man did he come home with PLENTY of stuff to talk about! I think he is really enjoying this new "life" because it means WAY less reading and studying! It's like he went from a student to a doctor in one day! He came home with a beeper the other day and I was like haha "who is going to need to page you?!" haha it's just so weird to think about! He assisted in a couple of deliveries last night and will have many more to see in the coming weeks! Hopefully he will get to actually deliver one himself (it's very likely). He said the nurses treated him like a doctor...they tied his gown without him asking and everything:) I think he has finally seen the light at the end of the tunnel. Just 2 more years and he will technically be a doctor! WEIRD!

I am VERY proud of him and very excited he gets to start this whole new adventure! This year is going to be a lot of fun and a lot of work but it's a more entertaining way of learning rather than reading ALL NIGHT AND DAY! He was leaving yesterday and had his stethoscope around his neck and Ella said "where's daddy going" and we said "Daddy's going to work" and she goes "Daddy go be a doctor", haha she knew just from the stethoscope. (She plays doctor all the time and like to listen to out heart and give us shots).

I will get y'all updated with Chance's adventures this year! It's going to go by so fast I know it!! As for now, here are some pictures of Ella I took last night! This is her new way of smiling :) She has been a total mess lately! Everything she says we are either laughing or shocked! She told me yesterday she "really really really needed to go to Target", why I have NO clue haha! The other day she put my heels on and said she was ready to go party! Where she got that I have NO clue! We never say things like that! We are trying to get rid of her stinkin paci but it's just not working!! FYI to all Mom's or future Mom's, get rid of it before they are 1 and realize what it is and can ask for it! It's a nightmare to get rid of! She is down to 2 and I REFUSE to buy more! I tried to keep it from her the other night and she told me several times "Ella REALLY REALLY REALLY needs it". I felt so bad I gave it to her. Anyways, hopefully we can break through this barrier and get rid of it and be a "big girl". 2 is definitely the hardest age to take care of a baby!

OK, I will quit rambling. My kids are asleep and I trying to be quiet so the computer is the only thing I can do right now!

So I never post on this blog because it's hard to manage two! I am so not good with keeping up with stuff! I just don't have the time! I will try harder :)

Chance takes his big test tomorrow and we will be gone from Lubbock for 2 whole weeks to visit family! I am super excited to get out of town and we get to go to the Zoo! Ella has never been and she loves animals so I KNOW she will have a blast!

We have lots more planned and hopefully will make it to the lake a few times!

I promise to come back with lots of pictures from all the fun stuff we do when we get back!

Chance starts 3rd year the day after we get back! Time seriously goes by soo fast! He gets to start doing his rotations and he is very excited because it means LESS books and more hands-on stuff! His first rotation will be OB-GYN and then he'll move on the psychiatry which he is not excited about! People say that it's the easiest rotation because you aren't on call as much and you don't have to work like any weekends so he thought it would be the perfect one to do during football season. Men and their football!!

Anyways, hopefully we will see some of you in Wichita Falls while we are there :)

Swim Lessons

Ella started swim lessons today and she LOVED them! She is definitely a water baby. She kept screaming "swiiiimmm, swiiimmmmm, swiiiimmm" while she was kicked and paddling her arms :) However, she wanted nothing to do with blowing bubbles with her mouth in the water. Finally, after class we practiced on and off for the next hour and she finally did it! Break through! I wish I could bring my camera, but that sounds totally DANGEROUS! I will keep ya updated on her triumph though! Maybe I'll go buy a water camera, haha!

Gymnastics

Ella's last day of gymnastics for the year was Tuesday ( we are taking summer classes though ) and they had an "award ceremony" for them :) Chance came with us so I was able to snap a couple quick pictures!!

After 2 weeks of pure pain, I decided to take a trip to the doctor about my toe. It is definitely broken! I am making an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow. Hopefully they won't have to put a pin in it. He said they will probably want to in order to prevent arthritis... which all equals surgery! ICK! I guess we will just have to wait and see. Here is the x-ray!

On a better note, I am officially 24 and besides a broken toe, I am healthy! I am about to spend all my birthday money on new camera lenses and a Schwinn Cruiser , and yes, I am totally getting a basket for the front and a seat for Ella :) I can't run with a broken toe, but I can definitely go bike riding. Plus, Ella is going to love me even more :)

Easter Fun

This was an exciting Easter... it consisted of 3 eggs hunts and Ella participated in all of them. She really understood the concept after the first one and was very upset when the eggs were all gone.
